I have been riding snowmobiles for most of my life. I started to ride sleds on my own when I was about 8 years old and ever since, it has been a passion of mine. It wasn’t until about 5 years ago that I really started to get into jumping. Before that, I mostly was just trying to learn how to pull the gnarliest tree lines I could possibly do. Then I realized that jumping off of pillows here and there was a whole other level of fun. I began to hit bigger and bigger jumps and the more I hit bigger jumps the more painful the landings were. It was then that I realized proper suspension set up was key to smooth landings and significantly less pain. I began working with M9 winter of 2018/2019 and I have never been happier with the difference Darrin was able to make on these stock shocks. He was able to make them feel and perform like a $4000 aftermarket shock. Not only did it make a huge difference in hitting jumps, but it made a significant gain while riding in the trees as well. I will never run shocks without M9 Suspension doing his magic on them ever again.

M9 Suspension has built the suspension on my last two bikes. I couldn’t ask for a better setup. My current bike is a 2018 YZ450f. It’s stock suspension was simply too soft and as a result I was really being held back on the track. Darrin went through my front and rear suspension . The first time out I instantly felt faster and more comfortable on my bike. My first race with the rebuilt suspension I got 4th place instead of 10th like the last race. I have had a bike with Racetech built suspension and after owning a bike with M9 Suspension I will never run anything else. I ride a 2018 Skidoo Summit SP 165. This machine was a huge step up from the last snowmobile I owned, a 2003 Yamaha Mtn Viper.
Last year, I struggled with getting the suspension to feel “right”. I’m around 225lbs ready-to-ride and found the ride to be bouncy and borderline out of control on whooped up trails. I really enjoyed bouncing around the mountains last year and thought I had it pretty good. Then I learned about Darrin at M9.
I picked up a set of Summit X shocks (KYB) and had Darrin work his magic. I rode the new suspension for the first time yesterday and I’m completely blown away. His suspension made me feel like a better rider. I could ride more aggressively, transferring more weight forward, without fear of losing control. The sled reacted quicker to what I wanted to do and just went where it was supposed to.

I have always spent thousands of dollars on aftermarket suspension every year. Had Darrin rework my stock Ski-Doo KYB shocks, I could not believe the difference. Usually the aftermarket shocks are not as stiff as I would like. Darrin actually listened when I described my riding style & set the factory shocks up to work better than the expensive triple rate shock combo I used to buy.
